How to use it

  1. Lowercase j: Undercurve up to the midline, come straight down below the baseline, loop back up to the left, and add the dot last.
  2. Uppercase J: Like capital I, but the stroke continues below the baseline into a loop.
  3. Trace the gray letters slowly, then write on your own in the blank row.

Good to know

  • j joins from its lower loop.
  • Lowercase j belongs to the undercurve letters (i, t, u, w, j, p, r, s); teaching letters in these groups makes them easier to learn.
  • Practice words on the sheet: jam, jet, jump. Say each word aloud while writing it, then check that every letter sits on the baseline.
  • Keep the paper slanted slightly and let the letters lean to the right.
  • Short, daily practice (5–10 minutes) works better than one long session; trace first, then write from memory in the blank row.
