How to use it
- Choose the options for your isometric paper. The preview updates as you go.
- Click Download PDF to save a print-ready file, or Print to send it straight to your printer.
- In the print dialog, set scaling to 100% ("Actual size") so the spacing stays exact.
Good to know
- Each cube face on isometric paper is a rhombus made of two triangles.
- Isometric dots are cleaner for finished drawings; lines are easier for beginners.
- Math classes use it for views of solids (front, side, top) built from cubes.
Questions
What is isometric graph paper?
Paper with a grid of equilateral triangles (or dots at the triangle corners). Its lines run vertically and at 30° to either side, the angles of an isometric drawing.
How do you draw a cube on isometric paper?
Draw a vertical edge, then two edges going up-left and up-right along the 30° lines. Connect them into three rhombus faces: top, left and right.
What spacing should I use?
1/4 inch or 5 mm for detailed drawings; 1/2 inch or 1 cm for younger students and cube models.
