How to use it
- Choose the options for your staff paper. The preview updates as you go.
- Click Download PDF to save a print-ready file, or Print to send it straight to your printer.
- In the print dialog, set scaling to 100% ("Actual size") so the spacing stays exact.
Good to know
- 12 staves per page is standard for most music; choose 8 or 10 large staves for beginners and young students.
- Print in landscape for wider measures, useful for piano grand staffs if you pair staves.
- Clefs, time signatures and bar lines are left blank so you can use the paper for any instrument.
Questions
How many staves are on a page of manuscript paper?
Usually 10 or 12 on a Letter or A4 page. Beginner paper often has 6 to 8 larger staves.
Is music staff paper the same as manuscript paper?
Yes. "Manuscript paper" and "staff paper" both mean paper printed with five-line staves for writing music.
